Freestanding Glass Splashbacks for kitchen islands
The only real solution to stop water and/or cooking splashes from hitting surfaces around islands. Available in 6mm thick toughened glass and 4 different clear colours. This package is suitable for wooden and laminate worktops, see below for stone and quartz. We would recommend a MAXIMUM HEIGHT of 300mm, heights over this may not be 100% stable
Easy to clean glass splashbacks, Easy Clean coating is available also which helps repel grease
Choice of 4 colours-
Clear (like normal glass), Bronze or Grey tinted antisun (like sunglasses) or Frosted/Satin glass
Heat resistant to over 400C (degrees celsuis)
All edges are polished with a 1.5mm bevel
For rounded corners if required, the panels must be made by using a CNC which is a bit more expensive than normal rectangula glass.
Height- we recommend not going much higher than 400mm which the website limits you to as the glass may become less stable.
How to fit into wooden and laminate worktops
Step 1- drill through the worktop for the bracket holes (please consult your kitchen fitter or worktop supplier before doing so)
Step 2 - Use the rod tightening tool to screw the rod through the worktop.
Step 3 - Mount the glass clamps
Step 4 - Slide the glass into the clamps and secure
How to fit into stone and quartz worktops
Similar to the above but you will need to use different rods and a chemical anchor system (which sets harder than concrete). Please contact us for more information and prices
Brushed Glass Splashbacks
Brushed Glass Splashbacks have a more scratch resistant, non reflective, matt glass finish but are not available in low iron so the colour may be affected by the natural green tinge of glass (depending on the colour of the wall behind).
Order times and delivery
The below sizes are in stock ready to be coloured- these sizes are generally delivered in around 1 week. Any shaped splashbacks, splashbacks with holes, thicknesses other than 6mm and made to order/bespoke sizes typically take 2-4 weeks as long as they pass quality control. Shaped panels take the longest duration as the manufacturing process is more complex and made using a CNC. In stock sizes (without holes, rectangular or square shaped).
